Hastings Community Network (HCN)

What does HCN do?

Hastings Community Network brings together voluntary and community groups as a huge Board and elects key representatives to speak on behalf of groups at strategic partnerships.  It also provides 4 event meetings a year in which Board members can bring issues forward to the representatives. Essentially HCN provides  a formal voice for the sector in Hastings.  HCN also feeds into the County wide VCS representational structure, SpeakUp.
There are twelve elected representatives in total which form the Executive Group of HCN

Membership

Membership is open to all voluntary and community organisations working for the benefit of the residents in Hastings and St Leonards.  The only criteria is that groups HAVE to be a member of Hastings Voluntary Action.  We ask that each group joining provide us with up to two names of people who will be the main contact for HCN communication and will act as representatives for their group.
