Directory of Organisations
Paper Edition
Every year Hastings Voluntary Action published a directory of organisations that are members of Hastings Voluntary Action or Rother Voluntary Action, this is called The Directory of Local Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations. While individual member organisations get sent a copy as a membership benefit, we can't afford to post the directory out as a general service to individuals. However, you are more than welcome to collect copies of the most recent edition from HVA at Jackson Hall, Portland Place, Hastings and a page on how to find Hastings Voluntary Action provides details of how to get to our office on foot, by road, by bus and by rail.
Online Directory
You can now access a searchable version of our directory of organisations at

PDF Download - Latest Version 26 September 2011
The most up to date version of our directory gets published as two PDFs. The information is constantly updated from our annual membership forms, training delivery, group support, volunteering support and newsletter distribution. The best way to keep up to date with individual contacts in the voluntary and community sector is by viewing the PDF downloads at the bottom of this page. The present online directory features organisations who have returned their 2011 membership renewal forms to HVA or joined this year.
If you were in the directory last year but can't see your name in this years edition its probably because we haven't yet had a membership form back from you. If you are a lapsed organisations the way to remedy this is to download a membership form from the membership page, fill it out and send it back to us.
The Paper Edition of the Directory
A paper edition of the Directory of Voluntary and Community Organisations was printed at the end of March 2012.
If you are the person in your organisation responsible for providing us with the correct information for the Directory of Voluntary and Community Groups, you can submit changes to your existing entry through an online form at:

Contacting the Wider Sector
While you may find that the best way to get information about individual organisations is by using the directory, sometimes you may want to reach specific segments of the sector.
By using our voluntary and community sector database, Hastings Voluntary Action can get information to segments of our membership, unpublicised members of organisations (who may not be the first contact for our directory) and statutory sector officers who receive monthly information from us by post or email. The best way to reach many people in these groups people is by either submitting written copy or paid inserts for Hastings Community News. More details of how to submit written copy or use the paid insert service in Hastings Community News can now be read on this website.
